Nick Mulvey joins Aurora, Sam Fischer and Groove Armada at UMA Entertainment COP26 Special Event in Glasgow

  • UN SDG-focused ‘Future For Humanity Foundation’ confirmed as headline partner

LONDON, 19 October 2021: Leading social impact entertainment brand UMA Entertainment Group has today released new announcements for its special culture and climate event at this year’s COP26. With Future for Humanity coming in as headline partner, the event will be run in collaboration with Ivy Farm, Stabal, PRS for Music and PPL. New partners joining the event this week include Count Us In, The Vegan Society, Greenpixie, YMCA International and design agency Digitronix.

From the entertainment company chaired by Harvey Goldsmith, producer of Live Aid, Live Earth and Live 8, the event which takes place on Saturday 6th November 2021, will feature a day of panels from climate experts and thought leaders across NGOs, youth activism, music and entertainment industries. Speakers include Kumi Naidoo (Africans Rising), Aurora, Nick Mulvey, Professor Carly McLachlan (Tyndall Centre), Daniela Tajada (Count Us In), Andy Cato (Groove Armada), Mindahi Bastida (Alliance of Guardians), Clover Hogan (youth activist), Will Hutton (Beggars Group), Teresa Moore (A Greener Festival), Ross Patel (Music Managers Forum), Sophia Mathur (youth activist) and Phoebe Inglis-Holmes (BBC Music) + many more.

Performances from acclaimed artists Aurora, Sam Fischer, Nick Mulvey and BEMZ will be followed by an after show event with sets from Andy Cato (Groove Armada), Sarra Wild and Darwin.

Leading live production company, Stabal, are producing a cinematic capture of the event to be released on Saturday 13 November, immediately after COP26. The full event will be available to stream online, on-demand around the world alongside hours of bonus content – from exclusive interviews with the artists, to a feature length documentary and each of the daytime panels. Tickets for the on-demand event will be made available next week, whilst the panels will remain free to view as part of UMA Entertainment’s ongoing commitment to ensure climate education is free to all.

A not-for-profit event, profits will be donated to official charity partner EarthPercent founded by Brian Eno, making grants to the most effective organisations working on the climate crisis. Profits and donations raised will also be donated to social impact charities in Glasgow, helping to support the local community. Sitting at the intersection of culture and climate action, UMA Entertainment Group is focused on providing people with eco-conscious experiences that will educate and inspire individuals to act in support of the planet and aid in creating a more sustainable future.

It will take place at St Luke’s Church, in Glasgow’s East End, as part of Beyond The Green, a three-day COP26 fringe festival celebrating music & the arts, sustainability, and plant-based solutions for a cleaner, greener, healthier planet.

Daytime panels and talks will run from 9am to 2pm. Live performances from 7pm to 10.30pm and an after show to run from 11pm to 2am.
